Mike was born and raised in Orange County, California and grew up going to church. He was baptized and became a ‘believer’ early on but his relationship with the Lord really began to develop, on a personal level, in High School. His Youth Pastor took a vested interest in him – a ‘punk kid’ and ‘trouble maker’ at the time. Directly following high school, Mike went into the US Army Infantry and his first day of Basic Training, believe it or not, was September 11, 2001! He returned from Iraq safely in 2003 on the anniversary of his one year marriage to Cortney and met his son for the first time. Mike & Cortney have been married for 12 years and have 2 boys, Bradley and Joshua. Their family has moved around a bit, following God’s guidance and direction in various ministry positions. They are now happy to call Idaho their home. Mike pastored the students at New Heights the last 3 years with great passion as well as effective ministry. His call to Executive Pastor is a great fit for both he and New Heights. We are very blessed to have Mike serve in this new capacity.
